If you are considering renting...you owe it to yourself to look into owning your own home. It is not as difficult as the media makes it out to be.

There are 1st time buyer programs with free money and there are still 100% loans in the outlining areas. Those that are HEROES (police officers, medical, almost any military service, teachers...etc) get an even lower interest rate.

If you don't qualify for any of these programs it only takes 3.5% to buy with an FHA Loan. These funds can even come as a gift from a family member. 1st Time Home Buyers would probably also qualify for the $8,000 tax credit that is available until 12/31/09.
